The launch of Caldera is just the beginning of Vanguard‘s integration into Warzone. The map is similarly sized to Verdansk in scale. Inspired by the WWII Pacific front, Caldera boasts lush forests and rocky crags, white and beaches, mysterious ruins, a dormant volcano and over 200 points of interest. This aligns more with the World War II setting of Vanguard, but a name change isn’t all we can look forward to.

And with that, Call of Duty: Warzone will officially become known as Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific or simply Warzone Pacific. On November 30 and December 1, players can experience the “last hours of Verdansk.” Activision teases something that has to do with “bombs away,” suggesting the map might get blown into smithereens and go dark as we prepare for the arrival of Caldera and Season One.Ĭall of Duty: Vanguard‘s Season One will officially begin on December 2.
